A Day in Itri

November 3, 2025. A day in Itri, wandering through town and into the rolling olive-grove countryside once roamed by legendary bandits.

Our walk through the historic center of Itri was full of surprises. Even with the castle closed for restoration, the “percorso” (marked pathway) through this ancient hill town offered plenty to see and admire.

A Moving Day in Montecassino

November 1, 2025. A profoundly moving day in and around Montecassino. We began at the Polish War Cemetery, where we paid our respects to the thousands of Polish soldiers who lost their lives in the brutal battle to liberate the abbey and surrounding valley in 1944.
